In today’s market you need to find out how much purchasing power you have, by being Pre-qualified, and then make your offer even stronger by getting a home loan Pre-approval letter. So many buyers lose the house they bid on when they find out they cannot qualify, or complications arise. So in this volatile market though it is a great buyers market, I highly recommend getting pre-qualified. Also, do your homework; shop around for mortgages’ sometimes using a mortgage broker for your home loan is a huge plus. They have many more companies and programs to choose from.
